Kirsty, our energy administrator, wanted to share Henry's story who we recently supported in saving a total of £274 on his energy bills!

Henry* was referred to us through a partner referral from the Community Wellbeing Service at CCP. He was struggling financially and was looking for ways to save some money. Henry was referred to the Energy Advocate Service during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently due to lockdown, a home visit was not able to take place.

Instead, our Advocate adapted and was able to help him remotely and called Henry to discuss their concerns. Our Advocate explained about saving money by switching tariffs and assisted him in switching energy provider saving an amazing £134.00. Henry has since given feedback that he is much happier with his new energy provider. Additionally, our Advocate also applied for Warm Home Discount (£140), saving a total of £274.00!

Henry was really happy with the amount of money he saved and told us that it had really made a difference. He also explained that the Energy Advocate Service had helped him become more aware of his energy usage and scheme’s available to him such as the Warm Home Discount Scheme. He said he would encourage others to use the Energy Advocate Service as “You’ve got nothing to lose, you are only going to gain!”
