Community-based Support Our Community-based Support Service covers Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Forest of Dean districts. The team deliver short term support for individuals to help them develop the skills to become self-reliant and resilient, and live independently in the long term such as: Support to prevent the incidence of tenancy breakdown or individuals losing their homes. Support to find and secure appropriate accommodation, set up and maintain it Support to maximise their income, improve budgeting and money management skills, and reduce debt Support with finding activities, building social networks and avoiding isolation. This includes rebuilding family relationships and developing links with other people, neighbourhoods and community networks. Support to take up education, training, employment or volunteering opportunities Support with health and wellbeing, enabling the individual to access health and social care services, including GPs, mental health and drug and alcohol services.
