2021 Hamper Scamper Report CCP's annual Hamper Scamper campaign seeks to relieve some of the financial and emotional burden of Christmas on families and individuals who are already struggling. We believe that nobody should go without at Christmas. Our aim is to encourage our community to come together to provide hope to those in need. Many of those who receive a hamper will be families and individuals living on the brink of homelessness and struggling to afford food and heating alongside the expectations of the festive season. Others may be isolated adults and young people, with no friends or family to celebrate this special time of year with. Hamper Scamper 2021 saw a significant increase in demand following recent benefit cuts, increased fuel prices, supermarket shortages, and ongoing unemployment as we recover from the biggest challenge of our lifetime. Over the last 18 months, we have seen requests for emergency food double! To provide this service, we rely on the generosity of our community for donations of basic food items through to festive provisions, including quality gifts for children. Take a look at what we achieved in 2021 by downloading our review here Watch our short video If you would like to pledge your support to us this year, please contact the Hamper Scamper team directly by emailing [email protected]. Click Here to make a donation to the 2022 Hamper Scamper appeal. A donation of £25 will provide a hamper for up to 2 people. Other Ways to Support Donate a Christmas gift for a child that we support. We ask that the gifts are to the value of £15-£20 and ideal for a specific age range between 0-17 years. Organise some festive fundraising in your office or community group for our Hamper Scamper appeal - perhaps a Christmas jumper day, carol singing or bake sale, run a raffle or quiz or give in lieu of sending Christmas cards. Or donate non-perishable food for us to fill our hampers. We need to raise over 50,000 individual items of food to reach as many people as possible, and which is only made possible by your donations. Whether it's arranging a collection point in your workplace, or via your community group, or even a street collection, every food donation makes a huge difference to the community we support.
