Support us Hamper Scamper 2023 Hamper Scamper 2023 CCP's annual Hamper Scamper campaign seeks to relieve some of the financial and emotional burdens of the festive season on families and individuals who are already struggling. We believe that nobody should go without. Our aim is to encourage our community to come together to provide hope to those in need. Many of those who receive a hamper will be families and individuals living on the brink of homelessness and struggling to afford food and heating alongside the expectations of the festive season. Others may be isolated adults and young people, with no friends or family to celebrate this special time of year with. Hamper Scamper 2022 saw a significant increase in demand following recent benefit cuts, increased fuel prices, supermarket shortages, and ongoing unemployment as we recover from the biggest challenge of our lifetime. Over the last 18 months, we have seen requests for emergency food double. To provide this service, we rely on the generosity of our community for donations of basic food items through to festive provisions, including quality gifts for children. Take a look at what we achieved in 2022 by downloading our review Looking forward to 2023 We know this year is likely to be our most demanding yet. More than ever, we need to rally and mobilise the business and wider community to generate as many hampers and gifts as possible to support people through an otherwise bleak festive period. How you can help: Donate a Christmas gift for a child that we support by: 1: Organising your office, school or group to pledge to donate gifts to fulfil our gift tags. Each tag is based on a real child referred to us, and contains some basic information about them and what they would like to open on Christmas Day. 2. Purchasing and donating new gifts not based on a gift tag or specific child’s needs. These will form our ‘toy shop’ from which we can ensure that every child referred to us receives a gift if we are unable to find a specific donor for them, or if they are referred to us late. Donate food towards our festive hampers by: Collecting and donating items from our shopping list food list to make up the hampers.
