  • Herefordshire Housing-related Support

Herefordshire Housing-related Support

The Herefordshire Housing-related Support Service is for vulnerable adults aged 18+ who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. In addition to supported accommodation, the service can provide advice and support for tenancy issues, housing rights & homelessness, budgeting & benefit take-up, housing-related debt, training & employment and social & community inclusion.

The purpose of the Accommodation-based service is to provide supported accommodation for vulnerable adults over the age of 18 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Customers may or may not have complex needs, including ex-offenders and people with substance misuse or mental health needs. The service helps turn customer’s lives around by offering an alternative to homelessness services and supports the development of life skills. Tailored support packages, developed and delivered in conjunction with a range of key partners, will support a move back to independent living and integration within the community.

Referrals to the Accommodation-based service are made exclusively by Herefordshire County Council Housing Options team.

The purpose of the Floating Support service is to promote independence and personal resilience by offering a housing-related floating support service to vulnerable individuals over the age of 18 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. All customers will be in housing crisis and may or may not have complex needs, including ex-offenders and people with substance misuse or mental health needs. The service will provide housing-related support for adults over the age of 18 years. Each individual referred will be assessed and their needs identified.  The capability of the service to meet the customer’s needs will be considered alongside age eligibility criteria.

Tailored support packages, with an understanding of the housing market, will be developed to assist customers in the community to maintain or secure suitable accommodation.

Agency referrals to the Floating Support Service can be made using the referral form below (return by email to the address on the form), or by contacting CCP at Pomona House, 1 Pomona Place, Hereford, HR4 0EF.  Tel: 0300 365 8500
