Michael Ratcliffe MBE – Chair


Michael Ratcliffe is the managing director of insurance brokers MR Ratcliffe Consultants Ltd. He founded CCP in 1989 as the Ratcliffe Trust and is involved with a range of other charities and organisations within Gloucestershire including the Isbourne Foundation, IT Schools Africa, Makhad Trust and Rotary International. He is CEO of the Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce.

Tad Czapski


Tad is a chartered engineer and has worked in the aerospace, motor racing and renewable industries for over 30 years. He was born and grew up in Hester's Way in Cheltenham before embarking on a career that took him all over the world in senior management roles. He has been a life-long supporter of charities dealing with rights and the disadvantaged.

Ian Salter


Ian has a long career in health and social care settings and holds Social Work qualifications. He has an extensive knowledge base and proven experience of managing and providing residential care services for adults with learning disabilities with a range of complex and challenging needs in local authority, health and charity care sectors as well as the private sector.

Karen Morgan OBE DL D.Ed


Karen has experience across a range of industries. She is presently Vice Chair of the University of Gloucestershire, Chair of Aspire Gloucestershire, Chair of Trustees of The Converging World and Patron of the Riskin Mill Trust. Karen was awarded an OBE in 1999, appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire in 2007 and is a member of the Honourable Company of Gloucestershire.

Alexander Lea


Alex is a partner in Wiggin LLP. He specialises in all aspects of the content creation chain, including complex rights acquisition, development and project financing, cross-jurisdictional tax credit and production incentives structuring, above-the-line and below-the-line production issues and distribution arrangements. Alex advises SVOD platforms, major and “mini major” US studios, US cable and premium pay networks, and major UK distributors, broadcasters and production companies on a variety of high profile feature film and television productions.

Darren Stevens


Darren has over 30 years’ experience in Marketing and PR. His career started with Bang & Olufsen, before he moved to Chelsea Building Society where he spent 22 years and became Marketing Director. In 2010 he left Chelsea to set up Prestbury Marketing a business he still runs today. Darren is a passionate believer in putting back into the community and has previously been a Trustee of the Severn Sound Money Mountain, the Chelsea Building Society Charitable Foundation and he was a Director of Gloucestershire Crimestoppers for over 20 years.

CCP Senior Leadership Team

Cordell Ray BSc(Hons) MBE – Chief Executive


Following several years with the national mental health charity, Rethink, Cordell joined CCP in 1999 to set up a project for young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. He progressed to manage the Family Support Service before becoming Operations Director and then Chief Executive in 2007. Cordell is a director and Trustee of the Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation, which manages seven Children Centres and two primary schools across the Cheltenham locality; and a Trustee of Gloucestershire VCS Alliance, an independent charitable organisation working to strengthen the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Gloucestershire. Cordell became a Member of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2020.

Gareth Edwards BSc(Hons) Pg Cert- Chief Operating Officer


During his time with CCP, Gareth has undertaken a number of roles, initially starting work in the Supported Accommodation units and progressing to the position of Manager. He then moved into the position of Operations Manager and then Head Of Operations, taking oversight for all of CCP's services, with a focus on contract management, developing new business, ensuring high quality service across the 30-40 contracts that we were delivering and becoming a member of the Senior Management Team in 2012. In light of CCP’s growth and additional responsibility he was promoted to COO in 2020.

Amanda McPeake BA(Hons) ACA – Finance Director


Amanda joined CCP in 2001 after several years with Coopers & Lybrand and as Finance and Operations Director of a niche market payroll services company. She has overseen the financial restructuring of CCP and has introduced systems to ensure financial efficiency and rigorous budgetary control.

Nigel McPeake BSc(Hons) MCIOF(Cert) – Business Development Director


Following 20 years working within the engineering surveying and IT industries, Nigel retrained for a career in Fundraising Management and joined CCP in 2006. He specialises in securing grants and contracts to deliver social care services, and strengthening the core infrastructure of the business.

Ramona Ray - Director of Community Based Services


Ramona joined CCP in 2000. Starting her CCP career as a full-time volunteer and most recently taking on the role of Director of Community Based Support. Ramona is passionate about Early Help and is a trained Positive Parenting Practitioner, Family Mediator, Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming and ILM Management Level 5.

Max Larcombe BSc(Hons) - Director of Accommodation Based Services


Max joined CCP in 2016 through Project Aspire which was a service funded by one of the country’s first Social Impact Bonds. This project helped house and provide EET opportunities for over 150 young people in Gloucestershire who had previously been homeless and NEET. Max then moved into CCP’s Independent Living Service living where it has grown from a Gloucestershire based service to now covering multiple regions. Max is now the Director for CCP’s Accommodation Based Services and is motivated by the opportunity to provide homes and support to those that need it most.

Gillian Williams - Director of People Services


Since joining CCP in December 2014 as HR & Quality Manager, Gillian has progressed through Service Manager and Senior Manager roles as the team has grown and evolved over the years. Gillian was appointed as Director of People Services in April 2023 and with a fantastic team oversees the workforce lifecycle including; Recruitment & Onboarding, Learning & Development, Human Resources and Workplace Welfare. In 2024, Gillian celebrated 20 years of membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and continues to work relentlessly to ensure a positive working experience for the CCP workforce.

Ryan Major - Facilities Director


Ryan has recently returned to CCP in Autumn 2020 after previously working for CCP from 2010 to 2018. During his time with CCP, Ryan has undertaken a number of roles across multiple CCP services , initially starting work in the Supported Accommodation units before working in Housing Management, Facilities, Family services, and Staff Training and Development, along with talking a lead on Health and Safety advice at CCP. As Facilities Director, Ryan focuses on building safety and compliance, along with overseeing the Housing Management team.

Daniel Chun BA(Hons) - Director of Social Value and Engagement


Daniel began his journey at CCP as a volunteer passionate about services tackling inequality. Since then he has managed the growth of CCP’s volunteering programme and supported other organisations with their volunteering strategies via Volunteering Gloucestershire and Involve Gloucestershire. As Director of Social Value and Engagement, he is devoted to supporting and developing our growing workforce, creating opportunities through volunteering and student engagement and engaging new partners to support our mission.
