Salary : £19,000 - £21,000 per annum + benefits

Since April 2020 we have been providing a flagship care leavers’ service in central Hereford, designed to support care leavers to successfully navigate the transition to independent living. We are housing seven individuals at a time over two sites, supporting them to be emotionally and practically equipped to move on and achieve their potential. 

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will be working as part of a close-knit team under the supervision of a Senior and reporting to the Project Manager. Your main role will be supporting the young people we accommodate; you will play a key role in developing their skills through bespoke face-to-face support, empowering them towards new opportunities and liaising with other providers to help ensure the young person’s needs are being met. You will achieve this through direct support sessions, support from your team, regular supervision and observation.

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring flexibility, resilience, a positive attitude and be committed to supporting change for our young people. As our services operate 24/7, the role comprises a shift pattern, to include evenings, weekends and sleep-in night shifts, a maximum of two night shifts per week for additional pay.
