Sessional Support Workers (SWEP) – Waking Nights: Worcester

SWEP – Severe Weather Emergency Protocol – is designed to provide emergency overnight shelter for rough sleepers during severe weather episodes.  In preparation for winter, we are recruiting for sessional workers to work alongside our current HoPES (Homeless Prevention Engagement Service) team based in Worcester.

You will be required to help prepare the night shelter (based at Maggs Day Centre, Worcester), receive and register those accessing the service and conduct welfare checks throughout the night (half hourly checks).  The following the morning, you will work with the HoPES team to encourage engagement with services to support those accessing the night shelter and assist to prepare Maggs Day Centre for their day ahead. 

Shifts available between 8pm until 8am.

Hourly rate of £10 plus holiday pay.

There is also the opportunity to offer Support Worker shifts within the HoPES Team before, during and after SWEP.
