Service Manager, Family Services (Gloucestershire) Vacancy Reference No : CBS226 Hours : Full time 37.5 hours per week Salary : £25,000 - £28,000 per annum + benefits *This role is a 1 year contract from start date, with a view to extending subject to growth of service* An exceptional opportunity has arisen within our Community Based Services to join our Family Services team as a Service Manager. The role is primarily based in Cheltenham with an expectation to travel in Gloucestershire. As the Service Manager you will be supporting the Director of Service by undertaking direct management of multiple contracts that are designed to support children and families, by providing preventative and targeted support. The Service Manager has oversight of the all the projects, ensuring all staffing, contractual, legal and quality audit requirements are in place. You will be able to plan, manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure all stakeholder requirements are met; these projects include, Early Help Family Support service, Family Advocacy, Youth Work, Social Prescribing for children and young people and commissioned family placements. You will be expected to line manage staff, lead on recruitment and support the overall strategy of the service, including maximising opportunities and ensuring the highest level of service is delivered across the board. This opportunity would suit a person who is currently in an established Service Manager position, or in a middle management level role who has the tenacity and drive to progress into Service Management, along with having the passion to develop the service further within its field. The successful individual will need to have a flexible approach to working to meet the needs of the service and some travel will be required between service areas.
