Hours : Full time 37.5 hours per week

Salary : £21,000 - £23,000 per annum + benefits

Since April 2020 we have been providing a flagship care leavers’ service in central Hereford, designed to support care leavers to successfully navigate the transition to independent living. We are housing seven individuals at a time over two sites, supporting them to be emotionally and practically equipped to move on and achieve their potential. 

As a Senior Specialist Support Worker, you will be working alongside the existing Senior and reporting to the Project Manager. Your main responsibility will be supporting the staff team and young people we accommodate. You will play a key role in developing the skills of our Specialist Support Workers and motivating their practice as they offer face-to-face support, empower individuals towards new opportunities and liaise with other providers to help ensure the young persons' needs are being met. You will achieve this through direct supervision with staff, forums with residents, observations and assessments.

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring flexibility, resilience, a positive attitude and be committed to supporting change for our young people. As our services operate 24/7, the role comprises a shift pattern, to include evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts (maximum 2 per week).
