Practice Educator - Sessional - Cheltenham

Practice Educator (sessional) for Social Work Students

Salary: £10.71 per hour + holiday pay.

CCP is seeking to appoint a highly motivated team of people to work as Practice Educators for our growing number of social work students. The individuals will be responsible for the supervision, teaching and assessing of the students during the 70 day placement in accordance with the HCPC standards, and work alongside a placement supervisor to deliver a package of support and suitable learning opportunities for the student.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following:

Qualified registered Social Worker
Hold a Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) Stage 1 qualification
Have at least two years’ experience of assessing students as a qualified Practice Educator
Have experience of providing supervision either in a management capacity or as a Practice Educator

Through regular supervision and support the post holder will assess the student against the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and the HCPC standards of proficiency, conduct and ethics ensuring solutions are provided to meet the students learning need. The individual will need to appropriately challenge where practice falls below the required standard and work closely with the organisations co-ordinator and the University.
