There is a saying, “It takes a village to raise a child” and what better way to experience this than through a community that supports and looks out for each other? Sunday 5th June saw members of CCP’s Social Value and South Gloucestershire Families teams joining other organisations within the Kingswood area to deliver a family fun day. Stalls provided free of charge activities for children and there was also a large screen highlighting the Queen’s Jubilee.

Michelle Deuchar and Richard Stone from CCP’s Social Value team spent the day running a small arts and crafts stall where stickers were handed out and children painted rocks to take home. Our Family Support Specialists, Rebecca Taylor and Carrie-Leanne Quayle, who are both avid football players had striking success with their football coaching. We were also joined by Reka Molnar-Szantho, Service Manager for the Families team who provided cupcakes to keep the team going.

The day was enjoyed by the children and was useful for CCP as the Families team networked with other businesses in the area. Richard and Rebecca spoke to a new potential Volunteer who wants to support the Stay and Play Group that CCP runs within Kingswood and is facilitated by Rebecca.

Well done team!
