Cordell’s background is in community development and he is Chief Executive of the charity Caring for Communities & People, whose mission is to prevent youth homelessness by strengthening families and promoting independence. Cordell is also a director of Aspire Gloucestershire, which aims to improve accommodation options and positive work outcomes for young homeless people; a director of Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation, which manages seven Children Centres and two primary schools across the Cheltenham locality; and a Trustee of Gloucestershire VCS Alliance, an independent charitable organisation working to strengthen the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Gloucestershire. When not doing that, Cordell enjoys a busy family life.
