CCP staff and volunteers enjoyed the annual Away Day at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, Churchdown, in June. Presentations, workshops, a quiz, games and an excellent lunch, provided another great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other a bit better in a relaxed environment.

The day also provides the opportunity to reflect on the past year and acknowledge the hard work everyone puts into the organisation. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the Employee of the Year and the Volunteer of the Year awards. And the winners ...

Employee of the Year was awarded to Paul Harris. Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Dulcie Herrington. The CEO’s Achievement Award went to Steve Long (pictured right), CCP's Social Prescribing Project Manager.

Social Prescribing is a service in Cheltenham to help vulnerable adults access social and community support and activities where these are more appropriate than GP and NHS services.

The Social Prescribing service aims to improve people's mental and physical wellbeing, reduce loneliness, and help people to remain active within their communities.  Referrals can be made by GP surgeries and ICTs in Cheltenham.
