OPEN (Older People’s Engagement Network) for Leicestershire and Rutland

OPEN are a group of people who act as a ‘communications channel’, engaging with organisations that provide services for older people throughout Leicestershire, in order to inform and improve local services.

Most members belong to other local groups and networks so are able to enable two-way communication and thereby involve the views of a much wider group of older people.

We are particularly in need of members from Rutland, and members of non-British origin who represent communities now living in Leicestershire (such as Polish and Chinese).

Meetings are held every three months, and transport costs are covered.

Consumer Panel

A way for older people in Leicestershire and Rutland to become involved in the planning process without having to attend meetings.

Panel members are asked to give their views by using a FREEPOST reply service and are asked about issues on the basis of geographical location or personal knowledge and experience.

In the past they have been involved with responding to surveys, giving views on the content of leaflets, and giving views on proposed service plans.

If you would like to be involved, please contact Liz McGregor below, and we will send you the necessary information.

If you would be interested in finding out more about either of the above, please contact Liz McGregor at CCP on 0116 2334243 or e-mail liz@ccp.org.uk
