VCS Forum Executive Group

The Forum has a VCS Forum Executive Group (formerly called the Forum Working Group). The purpose of the VCS Forum Executive Group is:

• To act as the responsible and decision making body ‘driving’ and conducting business on behalf of the VCS Children & Young People’s Services Forum (see above).
• To represent the interests of the VCS and the VCS Children & Young People’s Services Forum in the planning and development of children and young people’s services in Leicestershire and Rutland local authority areas.
• To co-ordinate, support, inform and receive feedback (directly or indirectly) from VCS members, wherever possible, on relevant multi-agency Forums, Boards and Planning Groups for children and young people’s services

VCS Forum Executive Group Membership

Membership of the VCS Forum Executive Group is on a more formal basis than the wider Forum, but is open to representatives from appropriate organisations/groups. If requests for membership exceed a manageable number in terms of effectively conducting business (i.e. 20 VCS representatives), a fair and transparent selection process will be devised.
