Early Years Officer

I joined CCP in mid September 2007. Previous to this I had worked as a Development Officer for three years at a voluntary organisation and was involved in supporting parents of children with additional needs who attended main stream schools within Leicester city.

The overall aim of my post is to ensure that the Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) organisations are effectively represented, informed and involved in the implementation of the Early Learning & Childcare Plan 2007-2010 for the County of Leicestershire.

The post is the voluntary and community sector representative for the County of Leicestershire. I will be working with VCS groups to enable them to engage in the planning process with the Leicestershire County Early Learning and Childcare Service and to ensure that they are involved in the commissioning and delivery of early learning and childcare service in Leicestershire.

I have been in touch with and met some groups already and this will be ongoing. I am looking forward to continue to meet more and more people from the VCS. Baseline Questionnaire

I am also undertaking a baseline questionnaire on the current engagement of VCS groups with Leicestershire Early Learning & Childcare Service. These will be completed at face-to-face meetings where possible and also distributed by post/email to VCS groups. I would appreciate your co-operation completing this questionnaire.
