Background

The Stronger Communities work came about through the first Local Area Agreement in Leicestershire. This work was undertaken by a range of Leicestershire Together partners and included:

  • Helping communities build their Social Capital
  • Establishing an Interfaith Forum in Leicestershire
  • Creating opportunities for affordable rural housing
  • Supporting communities with their Parish Plans
  • Supporting social enterprises
  • Running a Rural Stress Helpline and Suicide Awareness Training
